Hey People! Been busy with work and it's tough to email during office hours. let alone blog. Anyways, here i am. staying back in the office to use the internet. i'll try to keep my blog updated at least once a week. ha. so, i know what i did during my 10weeks here too... Anyways, one reallyyy interesting fact is that Blogs are banned in China. Surprisingly, i can blog but can't view my blog. Oh wells... Let me share my first week in Shanghai...
Last Sunday -
*Thkx to all the sms well wishes, the meet-ups during the week and those who were at the airport. Touched down safely and was left alone in the apartment. Decided to go explore the estate and then went to 徐家汇 (xu jia hui). Nice scenery but the stuffs there are all too expensive. Saw a no brand handbag which cost S$60 which i liked alot but couldnt bring myself to buy it. =( Happened to pass by a really beautiful catholic church. N.i.c.E! Then, it's home sweet home to prepare to start work on Monday!
Monday -
First day at work... great colleagues. and my supervisor is only nice when the big boss is around. oh wells...Got my own table and laptop but it's right outside my supervisor's door... was just reading chinese HR books and email-ing the whole day... Anyways, went to a famous seafood restaurant, 千岛湖 (qian dao hu) after work with the HR Department. Great food. After dinner, my supervisor brought us to get some wool clothing cos they think we're wearing too little. ha. i got myself a wool jacket...really useful. heh.
Went home and before we could bathe... power failure. and it's completely dark... we had to call our colleague to come over and get it done. our second day only eh..scary la.
Tuesday -
Work... Translate chinese HR policies to chinese. Then, went for dinner at 南方商城 (nan fang shang cheng) with 2 other singaporeans from our company. feel so good having singaporeans in the same company. Moreover, one is Jen's supervisor. i had to speak english to someone! my chinese is killing me here.... but i think i'm improving by the day... haha. Another shocking incident at home... i went to turn on the antique heater to warm the water and it exploded. man... i didn't dare to turn it on for the next few days. ha.
Wednesday -
Work... translating again... After work, went to 南方商城 again to get some neccessities. Got new solution for my lenses... and some accessories. Hee...
Thursday -
Busy day for me. rushing work for my supervisor esp nearing the end of the day... oh wells. then went home straight after work. good girl eh... =P
Friday -
Usual work - translation. Then, there's a company event every last friday of the month at the company's tavern. HR was in charge this month. hee. got to meet all the big bosses and the other singaporeans in the company. hee. After that, my colleague invited us for pub-bing.
Went to K cos it was too early for pub.. the K standard here is really not bad man... impressed. Then, went to a pub cum club. Some were playing dice, drinking, smoking and of cos... dancing. but the music seriously sucks. it's either jazz, techno or electric. goodness. and the whole place is filled with smoke. eeew! reached 'home' abt 1plus. slept ard 3...
Saturday -
Woke up at 1pm. haha. then ordered 外卖 which cost us only 25RMB. Then, started counting money and realized i lost quite a few RMBs... totally pissed off. Slacked at home until 9pm before we met our singaporean friend for clubbing at Guan Di and DkD. i slipped and fell at the stairs can... if not for Jen, i'd have rolled down the flight of stairs... the bruise is about half a S$2 note now at my shin... pain pain pain! Guan Di was not bad though. HipHop/R&B all night. damn good. DkD...all trance. not my type. Reached 'home' about 3am...
Sunday -
Treat to DimSum at a teochew restaurant by the Brewery Manager. A welcome treat for us and also a singaporean gathering. hee. they serve superb food man. a must-go for teochews! =P Then, went to 城皇庙(cheng huang miao) where they sell cheap stuffs. Got some accessories again. ha. Then, it was Raffles City which resembles exactly like Singapore's malls cos it's under Capitaland. Oh wells... Home Sweet Home to prepare for a new week...
It's getting late... Gotta run. I'll try to blog more often and upload pics. Stay tuned! Tata peepz~

Hey peepz! i am in China now! hee... the weather is chilly here man...
Firstly, i miss you guys and home! i touched down safely at 7am on Sunday. A lady came to pick us up at the airport. She brought us straight back to the apartment, drove us pass SAPB and threw us back to the apartment. we were like...'huh? So, what are we supposed to do next?' So, we decided to walk around our estate and got some daily necessities. Then we went to the town area but we didn't buy anything cos the prices were the same or more ex than spore. So we just settled for dinner at a cafe cos we didn't wanna take the risk. =P
The weather is pretty cold... abt 4-10 deg. Our room heater didn't really help much and we couldn't figure out the water heater and gas. So, both of us didn't bathe last night. ha. =P the matteress is so thin that my left arm is aching from last night's slp. Jen Ying had to slp on the couch cos the heater was only in one room with one bed. the blanket stained my jeans and my precious jacket... urgh! we slept early cos we had nth to do and we didnt wanna come home too late. the corridors and door is really creepy and it's completely dark at nite(the sky turns dark ard 530)... and the corridors resemble those HK horror flicks kind. ahh! Can you imagine... having to shine the small torchlight up 5 levels and trying to open the door with our shaking hands... man.
They provided us with laptops this afternoon when i finally have access to the internet. Other than the apartment, the company treats us very nice in offering their help and providing us anything we need. We finally got to know how to operate the gas and water heater when someone came down to show us. They sent another warmer when we complained that it wasn't warm enough. So, we can bathe today! heh.
We are given another 200RMB monthly for our 30mins lunch break in the canteen. They say we can have our dinner there if we want to. wee! There's not much work to do today yet... so i can update. heh. Anyways, gotta run. my colleagues are waiting for me for seafood dinner tonight! tata~!

Friday's paper - HR. wasn't that bad but i wasted my precious 10 mins bcos of the computer. couldn't open the laws in the employment act. Anyways, the exams are over. It's the waiting of results now... knowing that i didn't give my best. oh wells...
"Friday night is Clubbing night" quoted from wee-the-man. Ha. was supposed to be clubbin at MoS with the clique last Friday but eventually it was juz me, weekong and lionel. Marc joined us later. Nonetheless, it was fun cos we joined the group of NyP's FS girls at smoove. It's kinda funny cos u only acknowledge ur schoolmates when u're outside rather than in school. It's like.. when u pass someone familiar.. u'll be like 'Hey, u're from nyp rite?' and we just hit it off like that. ha. cool~ so i got to know a new group of schoolmates.
Chalet on Sunday - Monday.
Valentine's Day on Tuesday. Candle-light dinner at marc's place. Flowers and Chocolates a must. Plus! Pony Jacket and a ring. heh. romantic and sweet. =) it was sure a memorable evening...
Met up with the Ravage plus Wenru and Sook Ping at Wheelock Starbucks on Thursday. Hee. great time out~! Been long since we girls bitch. heh.
Met Marc and Manfred for KTV-ing on Friday. Hee. Then went to meet the clique for dinner at Crystal Jade at Taka. Hee... Thkx Lionel, Wk and Avia for the ba-gua and pork floss. That was really thoughtful.
I'm leaving for China in a few hours time. The 'can't bear to leave' feeling is slowly seeping in... i could sense the tears at the brink of my eyes when i have the thought of me leaving... oh wells... Wish me luck on my new experience! =)

Blogger 'ate' up my Saturday's entry. It's nowhere to be found... duhz.
Biz Law was pretty easy today. I was writing non-stop for 2 hours and exceptionally fast during the last 15mins cos i realized i still have Section C to complete. my handwriting was terrible. i hope it's readable. =P My wrist was hurting, fore-arm aching, palms all sweaty and my neck was stiff after the paper man. haha.
I was killed by EFMA yesterday. i went in confident but when i was at Section C, my mind went blank... yea.. BLANK. Formulas for CVP and Decision Making just disappeared...and i lost 35 marks for that... ahh! MM was pretty okay... i hope i did well. Hai.. two modules screwed up. urgh.
Ohh yea... my oipp has been approved and i'll be in China for abt 3 months or so. wee~! this is so exciting. i'm not sure when i'll be leaving... but it'll most likely be next sat or sun. At least i have one week break before i start work... yea...a week break to get the admin stuffs done and of cos... to catch up with frenz! hee..
Gotta go mug for the last paper! Jiayou guys! One more to go! =)

It's my study break this week and i'm only left with 3 days and i've only done 2 modules. omg. It's the CnY man! Who would have the mood to study...? Oh wells...but i have to get my As. So... FOCUS and do well, Sam!
28 Jan - 'chu xi'
Reunion dinner with my big family at gram's place. Back to PotLuck style after years of eating out at crowded and poor service restaurants. Mom prepared her dish - Kueh Paiti while i did my black chocolate cheesecake. However, i mistaken the yellow dye for vanilla essence. and so... the colour got a little... 'mocha'... anyways, it was better than the first time though... haha. my little cousin liked it! hee...

Went to gram's place to 'bai nian'. the crowd at gram's is getting smaller each year. oh wells... soon, cny will be just another sunday. then, went home before marc came over to bai nian. headed out for spageddies over at paragon. town was pretty 'empty' and quiet. haha.

Went to my aunt's place. At least, my mom and her siblings are still kinda close. Oh wells... Another nephew...7 months and he's already able to sit up. heh. Doesn't he kinda resemble Jack-Jack from the anime Incredibles...? haha. =P My 3 nieces weren't there... oh wells...
Then, went to visit daddy's fren.... tidbits again... felt like a pig... was just eating and tv-ing at every place i visited...
